I love a smokey eye! Don't get me wrong though - I have no clue how to even attempt a smokey eye, and when I try... well the word clown comes to mind. The same thing goes for blush. If you know me, you know that I keep it simple when it comes to my makeup. Foundation, powder, eye liner and mascara - that's it. It's time to step-it-up in the makeup department and I'm dead set on learning how to do a smokey eye! All it takes is practice and patience, right? Right. Here are some of my inspirations and tutorials that I will be trying in the near future - from Pinterest, of course!
This is a great tutorial for the "natural" smokey eye - perfect for work! This is what I'll be starting off with.

I love the neutral pallet of the next two... it's natural with a punch of bold. This would work for day or night.

I am loving the option of the silver and pink smokey eye! It would really spice up a neutral outfit!

This is one of my favorites! I don't know why... maybe because it's out of my comfort zone or because it's just amazing! I will conquer this! :)

I love the cat eye look, especially with the gold glitter! Amazefest!

The second to last one is my fave. I really like that goldish shimmer in the corner!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you in the the "less is more" make-up category. I usually just go for powder, mascera, and chapstick. Maybe a little brown eye shadow if I'm feeling frisky. I would like to try some smoke on date night or something, though!
I use the NYX Caviar and Bubbly from Ulta to get my smokey eye. It is almost identical to the Naked palates and a fraction of the cost :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Love the different smokey eye picture! Love the nuetral pallet smokey eyes!
ReplyDeleteNew follower! Would love for you to check out my blog!
